Technics RP-DH1200 headphones are one of the best headphones for DJs . RP-DH1200 is mostly used when listening to Trance, Techno and electronic music Djs like Armin Van Buuren. Technics in a brand that is well knows in double deck tape recodring, i do not forget my friend Adel the old days when he teached me how to record from a CD into a magnetic tape, how to adjust the recording level and the bias to obtain the best sound quality when recording.

Technics RP-DH1200 Review

He used a Denon headphone, i do not remember the model of this headphone now but will provide it later. Technics was always in my mind through these almost past 10 years since i start to build this site reviewing the best headphones in the market. So i found these headphones when i searched for the best headphones on Amazon to write reviews on them.

Fist impression when i looked to the pictures i felt that these Technics RP-DH1200 headphones where made to last for years of heavy duty operation. It comes with a replaceable cord in case it is defected,  it has a simple system to plug and unplug the cord from the headphone. This cord is terminated by a 24K Gold plated to ensure that the sound is transmitted form the player to the headphone with it’s highest fidelity and quality. Sometimes similar headphones do no come with gold plated plugs.

Gold plated plugs will not rust like the ordinary plugs with time and when they are stored in a humid environment and are easier to clean when they are not used for long periods of time like a year for example. This is an experience i learned when dealing with such devices and was an advise given to me from my dear friend Adel. I want you to have a look on the joints, they are big ? yes as they are made to last and reinforced to withstand twists and falls and keeps folding parts safe.

The Technics RP-DH1200 headphone can be folded in many configurations like on side monitoring and to minimize the storage capacity. Armin Van Buuren in the his last A State Of Trance 550 tour that took place in more that 4 cities needed a durable headphone that can last as a DJ headphone without breaking. It was an amazing journey into Trance music which i love a lot.

 Technics RP-DH1200 DJ Headphones

Before leaving this page i recommend that you take a look on owners reviews for this Technics RP-DH1200 headphone:

Excellent by James Josephs

I’m into quality, and that’s what you will get from these Technics headphones. I’m not a DJ, but I know these headphones work great for home listening. The volume can be turned up without any distortion at all. You may even want to record your mp3s at higher bitrates because you will be able to hear the difference between 128 and 256. The headphones are very well designed and comfortable. I find it hard to stop listening to them because I like them so much. The coiled cord stays out of the way. These headphones may be a little too bulky to wear walking down the street, but they are well worth their price. They also block out many ouside noises and other people in the room cannot hear the music you play at normal levels. This product will truly provide a new listening experience.

Tired of sony 700’s By moose

If you are tired of the flimsy, plastic, sony headphones, well you have other choices. For dj’s who use their headphones often, the Technic/Panasonic RP-DH1200 is the answer. The sound quality is very comparable to the sony vj 700’s, and arguably better (particularly in its bass response). But what makes these headphones a great deal is that the cord is replaceable and so are the chushion pads on the headphones. I will warn you though that the headphones are slightly more heavy on the head than the sony ones, but for me it hasn’t been that noticeable to me. Anyways, good luck in your search.

Joints & Headbands Break, By M. Ho

I’ve owned two pairs of these. I agree with the other reviewer that they sound the best out of any DJ headphone that I’ve owned, but they are not durable. The headband and joints broke with both pairs within 6-8 months. I thought that I may have been hard on the first pair while using professionally, but the second failed after a few months of delicate use. Disappointing, especially at this price point.

Technics RP-DH1200 Review

This headphone is one of the Best Headphones for Djs, they have a wide frequency range and awesome response that made DJ Armin Van Buuren used them, some people say that they break as in the last review, that demands a special care when handling these headphones or any headphone overall specially the ones that passes 100 $ in price.

I hope that this Technics RP-DH1200 Review was informative, share this post with your friends and buddies.
